Ark Movie Productions is a UK independent production company, which produces high-quality films that are based on true events.

Our team includes some of the UK’s best-known and upcoming writers, producers, directors, and actors. We are currently working on a slate of films that will tell stories that have never been told before.

Ultimately, we are storytellers who love discovering new stories. Some of our stories are serious, some are funny, but all are made with integrity and are as close to the truth as possible.

MEET OUR ADVISORY BOARD

Catherine Davies

Catherine is the head of operations at Cubed Consultancy Ltd, and the lead there regarding EIS and SEIS applications and preapprovals, with a particular focus on the creative industries. In addition, Catherine has worked for several large Investment Banks specialising in Fund Accounting and Service Delivery, overseeing a number of service improvement projects. Prior to her experience in Investment banking, Catherine earned a degree in Economics and Finance from the Waterford Institute of Technology Ireland. Catherine has also completed the Investment Management Certificate (CFA UK).

Beth Charkham

Beth is a Member of the Casting Directors Guild Mentor at the National Youth Theatre, a Member of BAFTA, Hubbard Casting Royal Court Theatre. Some of Beth’s prestigious work include – Chariots of Fire, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Queen of the Desert starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Pattinson.

Sue Needleman

In her long career as a casting director, Sue has cast several BAFTA & Emmy Award-winning shows, including “An Ungentlemanly Act”, “Tracy Beaker Returns”, “The Dumping Ground”, and “Joe All Alone”. Sue works over many genres particularly in Family / Children’s’ TV Drama & more recently Animation such as ‘Hilda’ for Netflix and ‘Love Monster”. As a mentor for the National Youth Theatre, she provides guidance to young people.

A FEW WORDS FROM ADISORY BOARD MEMBER RAY BURDIS

As an actor, writer, producer, and director, Ray has over 50 years of experience in film and television. Ray’s many hits, including: The Krays (1990), The Wee Man (2013) and Love Honour and Obey (2000).

“I’ve been working with Rob and the team at Ark for the past few years, and I have to say, it’s rare to find this level of passion, determination, and talent all in one place. Ark may be a newer name, but it’s backed by real experience, determination and a clear vision, the work speaks for itself. It’s been a privilege to be part of the journey, to meet our shareholders at our events and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”

MEET THE TEAM

Robert Stushki

Following a successful career in music entertainments, Robert found himself on the set of the film ‘Best Laid Plans’ back in 2011. This re-ignited his passion for all things films. And after working in the offices of a UK Film company he optioned the rights to make ‘The Krays – Last Kings of London’. He’s been instrumental in the creation and development of TKLKOL and has built up a substantial social media following for it. More recently he set up ARK Movies ltd and was the initial creator of ‘Refuge’ which is in early stages of development. He has brought together a stella team and is co-producing the comedy film ‘Dirty Truckers’.

Adam Myhill

Adam has a unique story when it comes to the Kray Twins. At 16 years old, Adam visited Reggie Kray in prison after writing to him for three years, as many kids from local boxing gyms did. Adam continued to visit Reggie every week for four years. He attended family visits and even represented Reggie at his cousin Joey Lee’s funeral, as Reggie was not permitted to attend. In October 2000, as Reggie’s health declined, Adam—along with others—helped plan his funeral. Reggie personally requested that Adam stand at the front of the coffin as a pallbearer. Adam has always said that Reggie gave him good advice about staying out of trouble and being a good person. In one of his autobiographies, Reggie even mentions Adam, describing him as great with people and a natural connector.

Floyd Parker-Horwell

After graduating in 2023 with a BA in Film Production, Floyd has quickly made his mark in the industry, working on major motion pictures with MGM and Marv Productions. He has produced over 12 short films that have travelled the festival circuit, Floyd’s work has been recognised with three Royal Television Society award nominations. With a previous background in recruitment and project management, Floyd brings a unique and diverse skill set to Ark Movie Productions. His dedication and work ethic are invaluable assets as he continues to contribute to the success of the team and its projects.

Andrea Harris

“Occasionally you’re told a story that makes your senses react.” This is what happened when Robert told me about ‘Refuge’. With a background in media, film, brand and exhibitor partnerships; recently working on Searchlights’ ‘Empire of Light’, ‘Rye Lane’ and multi award winning ‘Poor Things’. Andrea is delighted to join the team at Ark Movies to deliver ‘Refuge’ to the brand partners and audiences it deserves. Andrea’s experience includes – Twentieth Century Fox – Head Of Partnerships Sony DADC – Business Development Consultant British Home Stores – Head of Marketing DMG Media – Head of Marketing (Commercial Partnerships) – Mail Brands Devarnie came to Ark with experience in tech sales, and by marrying his knowledge of the film industry and his sales expertise, he has been a valuable member of the Ark team.

Lynda Taylor

Lynda Taylor, is a film professional. With credits including the film “The Krays – Last Kings of London” and an array of projects with DT Films such as “The Block,” “Dragged Up Dirty,” and “Hearts Without Homes” Her journey now takes her to Ark Movies as an Shareholder Liaison Manager

Reema Maru

Fifteen years ago, Reema discovered the impact of regulation while navigating financial services. A passion for protecting clients became a mission to embed clarity, ethics and compliance and now, fuelled by a childhood of Bollywood and a lifelong love of film, into movie-making itself. With the Diploma in Investment Compliance (CISI) and LLB Law with French, Reema has held senior compliance roles across wealth management, life & pensions, and investment firms. Through her consultancy, she now brings that rigour to the screen. As Compliance Advisor to Ark Movie Productions, Reema ensures FCA and HMRC EIS/SEIS compliance — from client classification to financial promotions and audit readiness.

Ian Hodges

an has been involved with the Film Industry for over 10 years. Experience of working with many known actors and directors including the up-and-coming Director/Producer Philip Barantini famous for Boiling Point & Malpractice. Ian worked with Warp Films for their marketing film for “The Virtues” More recently he’s been working on the Music Video with Sam Fender & Stephen Graham. He’s also Co-Producing his film ‘Dirty Truckers’ and ‘Last Kings of London’ with Ark.

Gavin Sanctis

With a background in Graphic Design and Post-production, Gavin has worked in the independent film industry for almost 10 years, both in front and all areas of production. Gavin has worked with well-known award-winning names and has many upcoming projects due for cinematic and streaming releases.

Nigel Winfeld

Nigel is an award-winning graphic designer who has worked for forty years in the domestic and international film markets, specialising in creating ‘key art’ poster designs and campaigns, and working at senior levels at some of the most prestigious London specialist film creative agencies such as Feref, The Creative Partnership and The Picture Production Company. He has been involved in almost 700 individual titles, including four James Bond campaigns and The Full Monty, with a client history including Twentieth Century Fox, Disney, Universal, MGM and Paramount.

Paul Swain

Paul is former British Soldier injured in Afghanistan. He is a keen DJ, which led him to play with some of the worlds best artists. Paul is passionate about film, he’s also acted in a HBO series and alongside one of Hollywood’s finest in the film, The Favourite. Paul has been investing in start ups for several years and is instrumental in raising funds and connecting Ark to key individuals across different sectors.
